How To Buy Vatican Tickets?

Dress Code
Vatican has some strict dress code regulations. It is not allowed to dress shorts, mini skirts and open shoulder dresseses for men and ladies. For the security reasons you can’t enter with scissors, knifes, pointed umbrellas, alcohol and back packs. You can leave them at the cloackroom for free of charge. In the museums no photo flash and in the Sistine Chapel no cameras are allowed to use. Also touching to the artifacts is strictly forbiden.
How To Go To Vatican Museums?
By Metro
Take the “Red Line A” and get off at Ottaviano San Pietro or Cipro Musei Vaticani stations. Then walk around 6-8 minutes (500-600 meters). Both metro stations are almost at the same distance to the entrance of Vatican Museums.
By Public Bus
By taking number 49 you can drop off very near to the entrance of Vatican Museums. Other bus lines are; 32, 81, 982 (get off at Piazza del Risorgimento and walk around 5 minutes), 492, 990 (get off at Via Leone IV / Via degli Scipioni and walk 5 around minutes).
By Tram
Line number 19 departs near Piazza Poppolo in the center of Rome, get off at Piazza del Risorgimento and walk around 5 minutes till the entrance of the museum.
Where Is The Entrance Of The Vatican Museums
Generally visitors who doesn’t know where to enter the museums exactly first arrive to Vatican’s Main Square “Piazza San Pietro” where is located in front of the San Pietro Basilica. Hop On Hop Off buses drop the people here as well. But the entrance to Vatican Museums is by the north gate which is near to Piazza del Risorgimento. To go to this entrance from San Pietro Square you need to walk 5 to 10 minutes by following the outer walls of the Vatican where will be standing at your right side.
