TOUR 1– Helsinki and Lapland Tour, 6 Nights / 7 Days
The holiday package below is a private tour, not a guided tour with a group. The tour guide will only accompany you during the activities and city tours (sometimes privately, sometimes with a group). Before reserving or buying, please be sure to read the detailed content of the program that we will send you and please fell free to ask about the points you are not sure about.
Tour Program and Services
- DAY 1, HELSINKI – Meeting at the airport, transfer to your hotel and overnight at Helsinki at Hotel Glo Kluuvi ****
- DAY 2, HELSINKI – Daily trip to Tallinn / Estonia and overnight at Helsinki at Hotel Glo Kluuvi ****
- DAY 3, ROVANIEMI (Lapland) – Helsinki city tour and transfer to airport to fly Rovaniemi / Lapland . Transfer to your hotel. In the afternoon guided visit to Ice Hotel (Arctic Snow Hotel), having your dinner and hunting for northern lights. Overnight at Scandic City Hotel ****
- DAY 4, ROVANIEMI (Lapland) – Half day trip in the nature of Lapland by snowmobile (you can also drive it). Unmemorable husky safari in the afternoon. Overnight at Scandic City Hotel ****
- DAY 5, ROVANIEMI (Lapland) – Icebreaker ship cruise tour with hot drinks and lunch. Overnight at Scandic City Hotel ****
- DAY 6, ROVANIEMI (Lapland) – Visiting reindeer farm, reindeer sleigh ride and transfer to experience glass igloo accomodation, lunch and dinner (in Santa Claus Village). Overnight at “Santa’s Igloos Arctic Circle” *****
- DAY 7 (end of the services) – Your driver will pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to the airport in Rovaniemi.

- Services included; 6 nights accomodation on bed and breakfast bases, private Tallinn and Helsinki city tours (we will try to arrange the tour guide in your desired language), the activities mentiond in the program, lunch and dinner mentioned in the program, all transfers.
- Services not included; all meals not mentioned in the program and the flights.

- DAY 5, ROVANIEMI (Lapland) – Icebreaker ship cruise tour with hot drinks and lunch and swimming with thermal suits. Overnight at Scandic Hotel ****

WHEN AND HOW TO SEE THE POLAR LIGHTS (Aurora Borealis)
The Northern Lights, also known as the Aurora Borealis, are definitely one of the most fascinating natural phenomena to occur on our planet. Contrary to popular belief, the aurora borealis is unfortunately not a natural phenomenon that can be seen every day in northern countries. Every year, thousands of tourists come to Finland to see the northern lights, but many return empty-handed. We cannot guarantee that you will see the northern lights on these tours, but tours that will maximize your chances of seeing them will be waiting for you in Rovaniemi.
The Northern Lights are visible from September to March. Ideal Time: It is generally believed that the best months to watch the Northern Lights are during the two equinoxes.
If we try to explain briefly, what creates the Northern Lights is the reaction of the electrically charged particles emitted by the explosions in the Sun with the gases in our atmosphere. When the particles ejected from the explosion in the sun enter the world, they are pulled towards the North and South Pole with the effect of magnetic fields. This is why we see the aurora in the northern and southern parts of the world.
